2. Data we collect from you
As a user of the platform we may process the following personal data:
- Account data: name, email address and login credentials.
- Subscription and payment data: subscription status, billing period and payment references. Payments are processed via our payment provider; we do not store full card details.
- Search and preference data: saved searches, filters, location preferences and alert settings.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, app version, logs and push token (if you enable push notifications).
- Usage data: interactions with the platform, such as viewed listings, favourites and support requests.
- Communication data: messages you send to our support team.
When creating an account we only ask for data needed to provide the service.
3. Personal data in third-party listings
Listings on Findsy may contain personal data of third parties, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses or addresses of landlords, agents or contact persons. This data comes from publicly accessible or otherwise online available sources and is shown as we find it there.
Findsy is not the original publisher of these advertisements. We display this information solely to help home seekers find properties and to refer them to the source.
If you are a data subject in a listing and want correction, restriction or removal, contact info@findsy-app.com with enough information to identify the listing. We assess requests as quickly as possible.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data only with a valid legal basis under the GDPR:
- Performance of a contract: account management, subscription, saved searches, alerts and delivery of the service.
- Legitimate interests: indexing and displaying listings, platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement and handling objections from rights holders.
- Consent: where applicable, for example optional marketing or certain notifications. You may withdraw consent via your settings or by contacting us.
- Legal obligation: administration, tax retention and requests from competent authorities.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with processors that help us run the platform, such as:
- payment providers (such as Stripe);
- hosting and database providers;
- email and push notification services;
- analytics and security services.
We enter into processor agreements with these parties where required. They may only process data on our instructions.
If data is processed outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention periods
We retain personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Account data: while your account is active and thereafter as needed for support, disputes or legal obligations.
- Billing data: in accordance with tax retention obligations.
- Third-party listings: while the listing remains relevant for the platform or until a substantiated removal request is honoured.
- Log and security data: limited and generally no longer than necessary for security and troubleshooting.
7. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.
Access to personal data is limited to people and service providers with a business need and bound by confidentiality.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- erase data;
- restrict processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- data portability, where applicable.
